acting busy

I've been trying to keep myself busy.
Busy with work. Busy with school.
Busy with lots of self-entertainment.
Then there came today. A day when i finally stop and think.

"Work is a blessing when it helps us think about what we are doing; but it becomes a curse when its sole use is to stop us thinking about the meaning of our life."

this year's chinese new year seems somewhat different from the past years' celebrations. reunion dinner was still the same - steamboat dinner. but its the first one without mama.
after dinner i drank red wine/munch on new year cookies with daddy while watching the cny countdown programme.
no house visitings on the first day. we went to aunty mag's house in the evening for dinner.
den i had a card playing session with my aunties and cousins. lost around 20 over bucks to them. anyway, i did a little camwhoring before leaving the house.



















day 2 of cny was spent at home. in fact i prepared for my esap test. unusual way to spend cny.

day 3 was spent in town watching 'inkheart' with mel. we window shopped a bit too. but it was more like a catching up session.

mambo nite!

went mamboing at zouk last wed and it was so happening..
i think i'm beginning to like the crowd there better. arlene intro me to a new drink and i liked it. lychee martini. an ultimately sweet drink with no taste of alcohol. truly a girl's drink. now i have another fav besides bailey's mint chocolate.

the night was spent downing martinis and non-stop dancing. one martini was followed soon by another. it was then when arlene became oh-so-high. haha.
music was great and they actually played the kiddie song "ten little indian boys". felt as if we were kids all over again as we made childlike movements in sychronization to the lyrics of the song.

arlene became so drunk that we had difficulty getting her home. i only managed to get to bed at 5am. and true enough i skipped class again. first psychology class of the year and i skipped. omg!
happening details continued the next day at work. but overall it was fun!

and we wanna go again soon!
